A SAP Case Study
Krieng Thai Watana Group, a leading Thai importer and distributor of industrial equipment, faced a significant challenge in managing its growing warehouse operations. With over 50,000 SKUs, the company's manual processes could not sustain its growth, leading to a need for better stock accuracy and improved order fulfillment rates. To address this, they turned to SAP and implemented the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) application.
By integrating SAP EWM with their existing SAP ERP system, SAP provided a highly automated solution that included task allocation and bin-level location suggestions via handheld devices. This implementation resulted in a 50% increase in worker productivity, a 75% faster inbound process, and, most significantly, a rise in order fulfillment from 94% to 100%, dramatically increasing customer satisfaction.
