The Ministry of Sports in Saudi Arabia needed to replace a fully manual, paper-based process for club memberships, board elections, and appeals with a digital, more transparent system. Working with SAP, the ministry sought a centralized platform to improve compliance, governance, and visibility across more than 100 sports clubs.
SAP implemented a sports clubs memberships and elections platform using SAP Business Technology Platform, along with SAP Analytics Cloud and related SAP BTP services. The solution digitized membership requests, eligibility checks, elections setup, voting, and appeals, delivering clearer oversight and faster decision-making; it went live with 8,000 users, managed 7,000 membership records, and completed 100+ election cycles in the first five months, with reported usage approval of 98.7% and a 20X productivity improvement.
