Uniper, a global energy company with about 34 GW of generation capacity active in 40+ countries, needed to replace an oversized, costly legacy HR landscape and unify local HR needs across Germany, Sweden, and the UK while enabling restricted access to a third‑party pension management system. To meet these goals, Uniper engaged SAP SuccessFactors, using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Service Center along with SAP Services and Support consulting to configure a lean, cloud-based HR service delivery solution.
SAP SuccessFactors, supported by SAP Services and Support, implemented Employee Central Service Center using a fit‑to‑standard approach, defined HR‑request processes, and enabled the restricted pension access required. The deployment replaced the on‑premise system with a 100% cloud‑first foundation, unified HR request handling across multiple countries, significantly reduced IT costs and complexity, and readied the business to roll out additional ticketing interfaces and functionality.
