Transforming Learning to Improve Quality of Healthcare with SAP® SuccessFactors® Learning

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC), part of Clark County’s public healthcare system with about 4,000 employees, needed to modernize its learning program to meet 21st-century challenges: improve user experience and adoption, better track compliance for accreditation and licensing, and reduce administrative burden. UMC chose SAP SuccessFactors and implemented the SAP SuccessFactors Learning solution to replace a legacy system and provide more reliable training management and reporting.

SAP SuccessFactors deployed its Learning solution in roughly 3.5 months, doubling the number of online classes, introducing alert-driven tracking, and simplifying retrieval of training records for internal and external audits. The change saved about 2 FTEs in tracking duties, achieved 62% of mandatory course completions within three months (eight months ahead of schedule), increased staff competency and flexibility, and positioned UMC to roll out EPIC training and extend SAP SuccessFactors Learning across other county agencies.
