The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation Streamlining HR Operations with Centralized Processes

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation, a not-for-profit that operates the Canadian portion of the St. Lawrence Seaway with about 500 employees across a distributed workforce, needed to eliminate paper-based HR processes and standardize workflows. To address this, the organization deployed a centralized HR platform based on SAP SuccessFactors solutions (including Learning, Performance & Goals, Onboarding, Recruiting and Compensation) to digitalize and streamline HR across the employee lifecycle.

SAP SuccessFactors implemented an integrated, preconfigured platform (branded internally as "Connexions") that links to the SLSMC’s existing SAP landscape, automates recruitment, onboarding, performance, learning and compensation workflows, and provides employee self-service. The solution standardized processes, reduced administrative workload for HR so staff can focus on strategic planning, improved employee access to role-specific information and learning, and now supports all 500 employees with faster, more efficient HR operations.
