TasNetworks, the Tasmanian state-owned electricity transmission and distribution company, needed to unify operations after a merger left it with more than 60 legacy systems, multiple asset and finance platforms, and disparate HR tools—making performance management slow and inefficient. To create a single data platform and standardize processes, TasNetworks chose SAP solutions, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors, to support an enterprise-wide transformation.

Using SAP SuccessFactors as part of an integrated SAP S/4HANA deployment (alongside SAP Ariba and SAP Concur), TasNetworks established a centralized, real-time data repository with single-sign-on access and mobile field capabilities that streamlined asset management and workflows. The SAP SuccessFactors-supported solution produced A$68 million in quantifiable benefits, increased transparency and collaboration, reduced outages through better maintenance planning, and enabled the company to pass cost savings on to customers.
