Taronga Conservation Society Australia, a leading conservation and education not-for-profit caring for 4,000+ animals and serving 1.9 million visitors, needed to reduce time staff spend on administrative tasks, replace aging legacy systems, and enable data-driven decisions for HR, finance, and procurement. To achieve a unified, mobile-first user experience and simplify workflows, Taronga partnered with SAP SuccessFactors (alongside SAP’s broader Business Technology Platform) to modernize core business systems and support a single-entry staff app.

SAP SuccessFactors, as part of the SAP-led implementation, helped deliver SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud and the SAP Cloud Platform–powered “Stax” app to digitalize processes and provide real-time insights. The deployment produced measurable gains: 4–5 hours saved per month creating consolidated reports, 33% of staff now mobile-first, leave approvals shortened from days to under two minutes, reduced IT support demand, and improved transparency and productivity for frontline and back-office teams. SAP SuccessFactors continues to be integrated for payroll, time and attendance, and workforce planning.
