Semmelweis University Teaching and Researching for Improved Health and Healing

Semmelweis University, a leading medical and health sciences university in Budapest with about 12,000 employees, decided to bring payroll back in‑house after a period of outsourcing and to reuse the same software it had previously relied on. The university engaged SAP SuccessFactors technologies—implementing SAP Payroll Processing and integrating with SAP ERP Financials—with SAP Services and Support and the SAP Activate methodology to modernize payroll, employee master data, and time management.

SAP SuccessFactors delivered an automated, accelerated payroll solution fully integrated with SAP ERP Financials, eliminating 100% of manual payroll calculations and enabling timely, efficient staff payments. The deployment renewed master‑data and time‑management functionality, streamlined real‑time accounting data flow, and, with ITGEN managing the project, positioned Semmelweis University for further integration (including SAP Integration Suite to connect to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central) and ongoing legal and release updates.
