MOL Group, an integrated international oil and gas company headquartered in Budapest, faced a fragmented talent management landscape: two different performance-management systems used inconsistently across its companies and no IT support for career, succession, and development planning for its 2,000+ managers. To modernize and standardize its “Annual People Cycle” and gain a broader, enterprise-wide view of talent, MOL Group selected SAP SuccessFactors solutions.
SAP SuccessFactors implemented cloud-based Performance & Goals, Compensation, and Succession & Development—integrated with MOL’s on-premise SAP ERP HCM—across an initial target of 2,000 managers (rolled out in 42 companies in about six months). The deployment delivered high user adoption, stronger pay-for-performance practices, better visibility for data-driven decisions, and a 45% reduction in manager time to complete the annual talent cycle (about 1,800 hours saved), while enabling faster decisions and improved career and succession planning.
