To tackle these issues, SAP SuccessFactors was engaged to deploy the MRP Monitor solution (SCM consulting solution) to provide classification‑based monitoring and standardized parameterization across the material lifecycle.

SAP SuccessFactors’ MRP Monitor analyzed historical material movements to deliver ABC/XYZ classifications, identify dead and discontinued stock, and calculate decision‑relevant KPIs (ranges of coverage, inventory turnover). Since rollout (starting October 2010) the solution improved delivery reliability by over 10%, enabled targeted stock redistribution via automatically created material groups, improved master‑data maintenance through monthly classifications, and gave MRP controllers greater transparency for measurable inventory optimization.
