The Timken Company, a global industrial machinery and components manufacturer with about 17,300 employees across 35 countries, needed to more effectively deploy specialized staff worldwide, gather and analyze global workforce data, and oversee training, development, and ongoing performance to make better business decisions. To address these challenges it partnered with SAP SuccessFactors and implemented the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite, including Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, Performance & Goals, Workforce Analytics, and Learning.
SAP SuccessFactors delivered a unified cloud HR solution across 35 countries, centralizing payroll and HR processes and enabling rapid reporting and analytics: headcount reports now generate in seconds instead of more than three weeks, 7,500 U.S. workers are paid through the single multilingual payroll solution, and mobile performance management and approvals increased agility. The SAP SuccessFactors deployment also provided improved talent-deployment insights via integration with SAP ERP and simplified the IT environment, freeing The Timken Company to focus more on customer needs.
