Universidad de Talca, a Chilean higher-education institution serving about 11,000 students across five campuses, set out to modernize paper-based administrative processes and shift its work culture for the digital age. SAP SuccessFactors, together with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Jam, delivered standardized administrative tools, real-time financial reporting, formalized purchasing, and comprehensive employee profiles that improved accountability and collaboration. The vendor’s solution cut supplier payment times from as long as three months to about 15 days, moved student financial-aid summaries from six months to next-day delivery, and replaced multi-week/month reporting cycles with real-time reports—freeing staff for analysis and strategic work while improving compliance, supplier relationships, and employee development.
