The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), which operates roughly 2,000 buses, 250 streetcars and 750 subway cars and serves more than 540 million riders a year, was facing falling satisfaction among its 15,000 employees because of paper‑based HR processes and limited visibility into decades‑old systems. Using SAP SuccessFactors solutions (Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Central) with SAP S/4HANA—and implementation support from partner IBM—TTC eliminated paper bottlenecks, completed rapid data migration on schedule, and realized value in record time through a standard configuration. SAP SuccessFactors enabled an online employee portal and centralized HR contact point, slashed payroll and HR frustrations, boosted engagement and productivity, and established a roadmap for ongoing business process reengineering.
