Deloitte Africa, a professional services organization operating across 28 offices in 17 countries, needed to replace disparate legacy systems with a single intelligent platform to standardize processes, consolidate analytics for leadership, and digitalize the user experience. To achieve this, Deloitte partnered with SAP SuccessFactors and implemented a suite of SAP cloud solutions—including SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP’s Business Technology Platform (with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP BW/4HANA), SAP SuccessFactors solutions, Concur Expense, and SAP Fiori—to unify its operations and workforce management.

Using SAP SuccessFactors as part of the integrated SAP cloud deployment, Deloitte Africa standardized and automated end-to-end business processes, migrated to a SaaS model to eliminate infrastructure costs, and centralized finance and reporting across the continent. The transformation moved thousands of users to digital processes, built a data-rich Africa-wide reporting system to boost strategic decision-making, leveraged machine learning and robotic process automation to cut repetitive work and administrative billing burdens, and improved project profitability and governance for the firm (7,000 employees; ~US$450 million revenue).
