How Do You Tap Emerging Talent Streams to Build the Workforce of the Future

NAF, a New York–based not‑for‑profit that links underserved high school students with business mentors, internships, and career pathways, faced a scaling challenge: it needed a reliable technology platform to expand its reach and connect a million students with employers. To replace an unconvincing homegrown system, NAF selected SAP SuccessFactors (along with SAP Jam Collaboration and SAP Business ByDesign) to provide a scalable HR and collaboration foundation.

Using SAP SuccessFactors and the broader SAP portfolio, NAF built student profiles, online learning and collaboration, employer job postings, and mentor connections, boosting engagement and operational scale. The solution now supports 110,000 students across 36 states, with almost every student creating a profile and vigorous program participation; NAFTrack reaches students who are 88% ethnic minorities and girls, and the platform positions NAF to scale toward its one‑million‑student goal.
