How an app increases a utility provider’s labor-relations processes

Puget Sound Energy (PSE), a Washington state electricity and natural-gas utility, needed end-to-end lifecycle support for labor-relations processes — including grievance and discipline management, arbitration steps, maintenance of CBA/rule books, seniority rules and reporting. Its workflows were a mix of software and manual spreadsheets with poor connectivity to HR systems, complicating governance and compliance; PSE sought a solution that would integrate with its existing SAP SuccessFactors environment.

An SAP partner, Sodales Solutions, delivered Sodales Labor Relations Software (available on SAP App Center) and integrated it with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform to provide grievance, discipline and appeal workflows and online collective-agreement management. The integration with SAP SuccessFactors improved the user experience, made labor-relations processes much easier to manage, boosted operational efficiency and strengthened compliance across PSE’s HCM landscape.
