Harmonizing Company Data to Reduce Costs and Help Employees Thrive with SAP® Solutions

Grupo México – División Minera AMC, a large mining division formed from three formerly separate companies across Mexico, Peru and the United States, needed to harmonize one million annual transactions and fragmented spend data, standardize best practices, and operate and negotiate as a single international company. They engaged SAP SuccessFactors (together with SAP Ariba Spend Analysis, SAP Ariba Sourcing and SAP Ariba Contracts) to gain integrated data visibility and to more objectively define employee skills and KPIs.

SAP SuccessFactors supported objective KPI measurement and talent management while the SAP Ariba solutions delivered spend analysis, text-mining classification, automated sourcing and faster cloud-based quoting. The combined solution increased employee performance and satisfaction, improved spend control and unified the division—delivering a 10% reduction in costs over three years and reducing annual operational expense growth to 3% (from 7%).
