Erste Group Delivering Digital HR Services That All Employees Can Bank On

Erste Group Bank AG, a leading Central and Eastern European financial services provider with 47,000 employees across 2,300 branches and more than 140 group entities, struggled with fragmented, country‑specific HR systems that made it hard to get a unified workforce view and slowed decision‑making (managers previously waited up to two weeks for HR data). To harmonize processes, increase transparency, and give employees and managers digital self‑service access, Erste Group selected SAP SuccessFactors (SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite, Employee Central, SAP SuccessFactors Mobile app) with support from SAP Preferred Success.

SAP SuccessFactors delivered a cloud‑based HXM solution—including Employee Central and the mobile “Emma” app—consolidating 140+ disparate deployments into a single platform and integrating payroll where needed. As a result, 100% of employees now have access to digital HR services, managers can retrieve HR data in about 2 minutes (down from two weeks), recruiting and onboarding processes were simplified, time and attendance went mobile in several countries, and overall complexity and HR information requests were significantly reduced.
