Enhancing HR Processes and User Experiences for End-to-End Workforce Management

Sun Communities, a REIT operating 300 manufactured-housing communities and resorts, faced high seasonal turnover and the need to streamline end-to-end HR processes while strengthening employee engagement and protecting security. To address these challenges it expanded its use of SAP SuccessFactors, deploying the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite (including Recruiting and Onboarding), SAP Jam collaboration, and apps from the SAP App Center to automate time and expense, support flexible PTO rules, and promote a consistent culture across properties.

SAP SuccessFactors enabled Sun Communities to integrate HR processes and collaboration tools quickly, harnessing intelligent services, SAP Jam, and partner apps like JobPts to improve onboarding, recognition, and mobile services. The deployment reduced duplicate data entry, tightened recruiting/time-off/termination workflows, and improved communication—saving about 2,700 hours per year by closing the gap between termination and revocation of access, staffing 300 employees for a new resort in one month, and supporting the onboarding of 820 seasonal employees; intelligent services can be enabled in roughly 3 minutes.
