A SAP SuccessFactors Case Study
Salt River Project (SRP), a century-old not-for-profit water and energy utility in Arizona serving 5,500 employees, faced a 30-year-old mainframe HR system, paper-based processes, and organizational change fatigue that limited hiring, payroll, and workforce management. To create a more worker-centric human experience and unified talent management, SRP engaged SAP SuccessFactors (with SAP Preferred Success services) to modernize HR across the enterprise.
Using SAP SuccessFactors solutions—including Performance & Goals, Employee Central, Payroll, Succession & Development, Compensation, Onboarding, Recruiting and Recruiting Marketing—together with the SAP Time and Attendance application by WorkForce Software and remote deployment support from SAP Preferred Success, SRP replaced five separate time-and-attendance tools, eliminated roughly 100 manual leave processes, and cut its IT footprint. The new system delivered employee self-service, improved data (including race/ethnicity tracking) for recruiting and retention, increased engagement and timekeeping accuracy, and accelerated information access by 10%, while lowering implementation costs.
