PanAust, an Australian-headquartered mining company that produces copper and gold and employs about 3,700 people, needed a better way to manage safety training. Training teams were manually updating spreadsheets after every class, which was time-consuming, error-prone, and left managers without a unified view of employee course completions. PanAust turned to SAP SuccessFactors and its SAP SuccessFactors Learning solution to digitize and centralize learning and compliance tracking.
SAP SuccessFactors implemented SAP SuccessFactors Learning and integrated it with PanAust’s back-end SAP systems so employee records update automatically as training is completed. The solution replaced more than 100 spreadsheets, automated recordkeeping, gave managers total visibility into training activity and progress, improved compliance with health and safety certification and reporting, and freed training teams from manual data-entry—saving time and reducing errors.
