Case Study: Corning achieves continuous HR innovation and total workforce management with SAP SuccessFactors

A SAP SuccessFactors Case Study

Preview of the Corning Case Study

Corning - Customer Case Study

Corning, a global high‑tech manufacturer with 45,000 employees, faced legacy HR systems that limited its ability to centrally manage employees and contingent workers and to meet demand for personalized, self‑service HR. To “Prepare for HR 2020,” Corning engaged IBM Business Services and selected SAP SuccessFactors (integrated with SAP Fieldglass for contingent workers) to modernize HR and support continuous innovation.

SAP SuccessFactors solutions were deployed (branded internally as “True Blue”) to provide cloud‑based, mobile‑first HR with automated synchronization to SAP Fieldglass, giving HR and managers centralized, real‑time visibility into teams and contractors. The SAP SuccessFactors implementation eliminated data errors and delays in contract renewals and worker decommissioning, empowered employees and contingent workers with self‑service access, and established a foundation for ongoing HR innovation.
