Conserving Cash Through SAP® SuccessFactors® Solutions and SAP Business Technology Platform

Corning enlisted SAP SuccessFactors to help conserve cash and quickly roll out highly personalized communications about the New York State CARES Act and a voluntary salary‑reduction/equity‑exchange program for non‑U.S. employees. The challenge was to extend SAP SuccessFactors solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (including SAP Extension Suite) to deliver time‑ and language‑sensitive, individualized payroll and program information at scale.

SAP SuccessFactors, integrated with Accenture’s document composer and SAP Integration Suite and augmented by SAP Signature Management by DocuSign where required, delivered personalized multilingual statements to employees and routed information through HR workflows to capture consent and drive one‑to‑one HR conversations. The implementation was completed in about two weeks, generated very positive employee feedback for the high‑touch experience, and met Corning’s cash‑saving objective through successful adoption of the salary‑reduction program.
