BRF Transforms the Employee Admissions Journey from End-to-End

BRF S.A., a global food company headquartered in Itajaí, Brazil that hires roughly 25,000 employees annually (including many migrants and refugees), faced a decentralized, manual admissions process requiring in-person document delivery, no system integrations, and limited HR visibility. As longtime users of SAP SuccessFactors, BRF looked to SAP SuccessFactors technologies—together with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), OCR, and SAP HANA Cloud—to modernize recruitment, documentation, verification, contracts and onboarding.

Using a BTP extension that integrated SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting and Employee Central with OCR, UI5 and HANA Cloud, BRF implemented a 100% digital, remote admissions workflow with multilingual support (Portuguese, Spanish, Creole, French) and centralized processing into a single Shared Services Center. The SAP SuccessFactors-based solution delivered measurable impact: consolidation of 59 hiring units into one center, elimination of ~800,000 pieces of paper, 11,250 hours saved on document handling, ongoing average volume of ~2,500 hires/month and over 31,000 hires processed since rollout, plus improved governance, applicant experience and data security.
