Bestseller, a global family‑owned fashion retailer with 21,600 employees and some 3,000 stores, faced slow, manual and data‑heavy in‑store hiring where managers often hired “off the street” and processes could take days. To modernize hiring and ensure GDPR‑compliant, mobile‑friendly processes, Bestseller implemented SAP SuccessFactors, using Employee Central together with a FastHire extension on SAP Business Technology Platform to simplify and accelerate store hiring.
SAP SuccessFactors’ FastHire solution replaced the standard new‑hire wizard with a focused tablet UI, automated data mapping and contract generation, and integrations to payroll, time, AD and reporting systems. The change reduced the hire flow from 100+ fields to about 30, made candidates available in Bestseller systems within 30 minutes instead of days, enabled managers to complete 80% of hires without HR, cut onboarding time by over 50% and improved contract handling efficiency by 20%.
