Allstate enhances and streamlines HR management with SuccessFactors and IBM

Allstate Corporation, a leading U.S. personal-lines insurer with over 39,000 employees, was hindered by heavily customized SAP ERP Human Capital Management systems that made HR processes slow, duplicated effort, and delayed new services. To simplify the user experience, accelerate deployment of modern talent-management capabilities, and lower operating costs, Allstate selected cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors (including SuccessFactors BizX, Learning, Workforce Analytics, Employee Central and Recruiting Management) to complement its on‑premise SAP HCM.

Working with SAP SuccessFactors and implementation partner IBM Global Business Services, Allstate deployed a hybrid cloud HCM that integrates SuccessFactors with its on‑premise SAP ERP systems. The solution delivered faster international rollouts (India implemented at roughly 10% of prior cost), an intuitive, integrated talent-management experience, up to a 60% reduction in technical support tasks, 20–30% of IT budget freed for reinvestment, and an expected ~20% reduction in steady‑state annual expenses after five years.
