Case Study: Bryce Corporation achieves ERP modernization and a future-ready workforce with SAP SuccessFactors

After 15 Years, Time for a Change

Bryce Corporation, a Memphis-based provider of flexible packaging, faced an aging ERP platform last upgraded in 2005 and hampered by extensive customizations that made further updates risky and slow. In 2020 Bryce launched a major modernization effort, beginning an enterprise rollout of SAP S/4HANA and planning to adopt additional SAP applications — including SAP SuccessFactors for HR — to reduce custom code and enable new capabilities.

By moving to SAP S/4HANA and favoring out-of-the-box functionality, Bryce simplified its IT landscape, reduced upgrade complexity, and prepared the business to implement SAP SuccessFactors and other SAP solutions. The upgrade, begun in September 2020, directly impacts about 90% of Bryce’s ~1,000 employees and is expected to cut customizations, improve planning and optimization, and offer more flexible options to customers.
