HomeMade is a Sydney-based start-up transforming aged care by enabling Australians to self-manage their government Home Care Packages. Facing a growing ageing population, the sector’s traditional model offered limited choice, poor visibility and slow, manual processes that increased administration costs and delayed access to services.
Working with Bourne Digital, HomeMade built a self-service portal on SAP Business Technology Platform that uses integration, workflow and document information extraction to automate onboarding, invoicing and approvals for customers, providers and staff. The portal cut onboarding from 10–14 days to one day (a 9-day reduction), halved reimbursement time, delivered significant time and cost savings, and saved customers an average $5,592 annually while increasing transparency, control and service options.
