A SAP HANA Case Study
Distriplus SA, a Brussels-based retailer of cosmetics and drugstore goods with 200 stores, ~1,200 employees and roughly €190–200M in annual sales, struggled to produce consolidated, timely reports from transactional data spread across multiple databases. With 2 million customer records and 40,000 SKUs, IT could not deliver a single source of truth or give store managers direct access to relevant metrics.
Working with partner Expertum, Distriplus consolidated all sources into SAP Business Warehouse on SAP HANA and moved reporting to the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform (including Web Intelligence and Lumira). The new setup eliminated data replication, simplified the IT architecture, enabled real‑time in‑store access to consolidated sales reports for 50 users across 200 stores, and allowed up to 80% of reports to be created by power users independent of IT.
