Huabao Group, Asia’s largest flavor and fragrance provider with 128 companies and over 5,000 employees, faced the need to modernize and unify its industrial chain to support rapid growth, tighter group control, global expansion and new D2C business models. The company struggled with manual, siloed finance and operational processes, inefficient inter-company transactions, limited analytics and slow R&D workflows that hindered supply‑chain collaboration and innovation.
Huabao implemented a group-wide digital platform centered on RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, complemented by SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BPC and an AI co-innovation called Arobot on SAP BTP, with EY supporting the rollout. The program standardized 128 business processes, delivered 129 KPIs and automated consolidated reporting, boosted order fulfillment to 98%, improved analytics efficiency by ~30%, shortened monthly close by 2–3 days, and accelerated formula R&D—freeing staff for higher‑value work and enabling new digital and D2C capabilities.
