A SAP HANA Case Study
Shanghai Ziyan Food Co. Ltd., founded in Sichuan and now a national franchised chain, turned a regional specialty into a mass-market brand with about 2,000 stores and over 4,500 employees. As it expanded, the company faced the challenge of scaling production and procurement while preserving its signature flavor and meeting strict food-safety standards — needing to align material, capital, and information flows, cut operating costs, and raise customer satisfaction.
Ziyan implemented SAP S/4HANA to centralize procurement, standardize “central kitchen” processing and quality-control checkpoints, and integrate production, warehousing, logistics, sales, and finance into a real-time platform. The transformation improved data accuracy and controls, reduced the financial close from 8 to 2 days (75%), increased sales forecast accuracy and on-time delivery by 4–5%, improved inventory management by more than 50%, and strengthened food safety and consistent product quality to support continued national growth.
