A SAP HANA Case Study
S.T. CORPORATION, a Tokyo-based chemical maker of air-, cloth- and home-care products, was hampered by an aging IT environment that slowed sales analysis, business-performance management, and point-of-sale (POS) analytics. Sales teams needed a self-service system with no operational limits so they could run detailed, long-term analyses and support faster management decisions.
Working with JSOL, the company replaced its legacy stack with the SAP HANA platform, integrating about 2 billion sales and POS records. The move increased capacity and data integration, compressed storage (to roughly one-seventh the size), and cut major query times by more than 100× — delivering far faster sales planning and analysis, better call-center responses, and the ability for users to run multi-year, high-speed analytics without IT intervention.
