A SAP HANA Case Study
TCL Corporation, a Huizhou‑based maker of smart products and Internet services with 75,000 employees and US$16.44 billion in revenue, needed to unify dispersed business and financial data across its group. The company faced demands for faster financial and management consolidation, better business analytics, and direct linkage of operational data to accounting systems to improve data quality, transparency, and groupwide financial management.
TCL deployed SAP HANA and SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) to create a direct‑connected, single architecture for new and legacy applications, enabling real‑time queries and integrated accounts. The rollout simplified the system landscape, established a consolidated statements platform and financial sharing center, and shortened consolidation to five days for 300+ subsidiaries; daily data syncs now take 10 minutes and 93.8% of data connects automatically—supporting a “flat operation and three‑dimensional consolidation” across the business.
