TRILUX GmbH & Co. KG, a global lighting manufacturer founded in 1912 with more than 5,000 employees, needed to speed up and improve its sales planning and forecasting. The company runs rolling forecasts across roughly 50,000 active products for 15 sales organizations, generating about 9 million planning records per run; its existing G.I.B Dispo‑Cockpit Forecast (DCF) on SAP ERP/SAP SCM faced severe performance bottlenecks, with planning runs taking up to 36 hours.

TRILUX moved DCF to an SAP HANA side‑by‑side deployment (adapted by partner G.I.B) and completed the switch in four days, changing primary data persistence and loading tables into HANA. The change cut forecast runtimes by about 50% (roughly 12 hours), enabled weekly instead of monthly updates, and delivered faster processing, greater flexibility, and improved planning accuracy — unlocking deeper analyses and laying the groundwork to extend HANA across more processes.
