PJSC MegaFon, a major Russian telecommunications provider with around 2,000 retail stores, set out to modernize its retail operations as part of a large-scale digital transformation. The company faced a business-process reengineering challenge: simplify and automate workflows, optimize retail processes, and balance stock and service levels to improve customer experience.

MegaFon partnered with SAP, using SAP MaxAttention and an on-site SAP Innovation Control Center to deploy SAP Customer Activity Repository, SAP Forecasting and Replenishment, SAP Promotion Management, and SAP Business Suite on HANA. A one-year, big‑bang rollout across all stores delivered lower implementation costs and risk, the region’s most advanced retail IT for planning, promotions, and POS analytics, improved forecasting and KPI visibility, and ongoing end-to-end support that reduced total cost of ownership.
