Enabling Business Innovation by Using Expert Services to Lead a Complex IT Migration to the Cloud

MLP SE, a Wiesloch-based financial services group with about 2,200 employees and €935 million in revenue, needed to simplify a large, externally hosted IT landscape that was costly, complex, and insufficiently flexible for future growth and new business models. The company set out to migrate its ERP, data management, integration, and analytics applications to the cloud to improve agility and readiness for expansion.

MLP engaged SAP Services & Support and the Success Delivery Center to move to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud and lay the foundation for SAP S/4HANA Cloud (private edition). The project—with ~50 go-lives managed on time and within budget and 90% of deliverables executed remotely—delivered a single system and source of truth, improved data quality, harmonized processes, reduced IT complexity and total cost of ownership, and created a scalable technology platform for future innovation.
