CAPEL Distilling More Value from Its Business Information Processes Using a Next-Generation ERP

Cooperativa Agrícola Pisquera Elqui Limitada (CAPEL) is a Chilean cooperative founded in 1938 that brings together more than 1,000 growers across ~4,500 hectares to produce pisco and other grape products. Facing an aging IT landscape that constrained scale, slowed decision-making and complicated finance operations, CAPEL set out to modernize its systems to gain real-time visibility, streamline processes and reduce operational complexity.

Working with Seidor Chile, CAPEL implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud to integrate finance, production, commercial, logistics and HR processes. The move delivered an integrated, secure cloud ERP with 14 real-time dashboards, reduced SG&A by 16%, increased IT productivity by 48% and achieved strong adoption (70%), while cutting days sales outstanding by 53% (94→44 days), days payable outstanding by 55% (149→67 days) and inventory days by 24.5% (257→194 days).
