AGROFERT is a diversified agribusiness group that has grown since 1993 into a global organization of more than 34,000 employees across 235 companies in 15 countries, with revenue around €7 billion. The company needed to consolidate more than 20 different SAP ERP implementations — each with varying customizations and industry requirements — into a centrally managed platform while preserving industry-specific flexibility, but it had limited internal experience with large-scale migrations.

Working with SAP experts, AGROFERT adopted SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA DBServices and used SAP Enterprise Support, continuous quality checks, and industry pilot programs to plan and execute the rollout. The program migrated over 20,000 employees to SAP HANA DBServices in one year and moved 4,000 employees to SAP S/4HANA during pilots, delivering on-time milestones with no business disruptions and transferring skills to internal teams for future rollouts.
