How a Global Organization Proves SAP Fieldglass’ Value Through Results

Siemens, a global leader in electronics and electrical engineering with roughly 348,000 employees across energy, healthcare, industry and infrastructure, faced a fragmented approach to external labor management: each division used different MSPs and technologies, leaving the company without visibility into its flexible workforce or consolidated reporting.

To address this, Siemens implemented SAP Fieldglass in 2010 and centralized its program under Randstad SourceRight, rolling out the VMS in phases. The integrated solution now manages about 6,000 external workers and $150M in annual spend (up from $90M in 2010), delivering roughly $17M in savings to date — including $400K from converting 200,000 paper invoices to electronic submittals — and supporting expansion into the UK, Canada and additional services categories.
