Reliance Improving Inventory Control and Reducing Order Errors to Less Than 0.1% with SAP Business One and Resolv

Reliance Communications, a wholesale distributor, needed to migrate from multiple unintegrated systems to improve its distribution efficiencies, processes, and reporting capabilities. The challenge was to accurately pick, pack, and ship a high volume of smartphones while reducing errors. To tackle this, they worked with the vendor SAP and implemented the SAP Business One application alongside the Resolv logistics and warehouse management suite.

The solution from SAP, deployed with assistance from partner Achieve IT Solutions, introduced integrated 2D barcoding and a warehouse system for fulfillment. This allowed Reliance to cut over to the new system in a single weekend and successfully ship over 1.5 million smartphones in the first month. The measurable results were significant, with order errors reduced to less than 0.1%, enabling efficient product tracking, real-time reporting, and greatly improved customer service levels.
