Case Study: Deutscher Skiverband achieves seamless event ticketing and centralized data management with SAP Business One

A SAP Business One Case Study

Preview of the Deutscher Skiverband Case Study

How The German Ski Association (Deutscher Skiverband) uses SAP Business One to have a common ticketing platform and managing large amounts of data for its events

Deutscher Skiverband (DSV), the German Ski Association, needed a reliable way to manage ticketing and event operations for major skiing events, including the Biathlon World Championship in Oberhof. Their previous software could not centralize large volumes of attendee, ticketing, and logistics data, and it struggled to support real-time updates, schedules, and interactive features for many users. SAP Business One, together with SAP Event Ticketing, was selected to help address these challenges.

SAP Business One, implemented with partners SNEC and UNIORG, supported a centralized ticketing platform with event support, access control, and SSO, while integrating with analytics capabilities for better planning and marketing follow-up. The result was a more reliable network and accessible, centralized data system with improved decision-making. The impact was significant, with more than 150,000 tickets sold for the event.
