Qingdao DanLex Food Co. Ltd, a large bakery chain in China, faced challenges with its disparate and outdated IT systems which could not handle the volume of data from its rapid growth. With over 10,000 sales records coming from each branch, the company needed a solution to improve cost accounting, management, and data analysis. To address this, they turned to the vendor SAP and implemented the SAP Business One application on the SAP HANA platform.

With the help of SAP partner Qingdao Huazhi Information Technology, SAP deployed a solution that automated production planning and provided real-time data management for over 160 branches. The results were significant, including lean management that reduced waste and increased supply chain efficiency. One measurable impact was that tasks which previously took four people 3.5 hours were reduced to just one hour for a single person. The implementation by SAP also led to more precise monthly account settling, real-time stock data, and transparent processes between the factory and stores.
