The company partnered with SAP Ariba and SAP Business Network to replace fragmented processes with a centralized system that could improve visibility, connect buyers and suppliers, and help procurement become more strategic.
Using SAP Ariba solutions, Nexans implemented a global procurement platform with one view of PO information, automated workflows, catalogs, and e-auctions. SAP Ariba helped deliver 100% of indirect spend through the platform, more than 600 catalogs and nearly one million pricing items managed, 100% of indirect spend under cost control and negotiation, and 80,000 indirect POs, while also shifting buyers from operational work to higher-value strategic tasks.
