Orora Packaging Australia, a Melbourne‑based packaging and displays company (7,200 employees, A$4.7B revenue), set out to digitalize its end‑to‑end source‑to‑settle procurement processes. The key challenge was securing strong stakeholder and end‑user engagement, rapidly incorporating user requirements, and using a staggered rollout to resolve functionality issues before onboarding new sites.
Partnering with SAP Ariba services and using the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite and SAP Activate methodology, Orora executed a user‑centric, phased rollout across 60 sites and ~600 users in Australia and New Zealand. The program delivered on time and on budget, achieved 100% end‑user adoption within three months, increased visibility and stakeholder engagement, and created a scalable framework for future implementations.
