The company struggled with fragmented source-to-contract processes, multiple ERP back ends, missing data and workflow gaps, and slow, manual supplier creation and onboarding.
Partnering with SAP Services and Support to deploy SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing integrated with Jungheinrich’s SAP ERP, the company implemented supplier self-service, vendor-creation workflows, predefined tender structures and e-auctions. The solution consolidated supplier data, enabled real-time bidding and dynamic pricing, and rolled out iteratively across departments — onboarding more than 300 strategic suppliers and integrating over 700 suppliers with SAP ERP within six months.
