Hydra Arc is a South African, award-winning specialized welding contractor with more than 25 years’ experience serving petrochemical, construction, mining, and power-generation clients. While expanding its training academy and sustaining high service quality, the company faced compliance-related delays on customer transactions that disrupted invoicing and caused major cash-flow problems, so it needed better account and payment management without compromising service.

Hydra Arc joined the Quadrem/Ariba Network in 2015 and, with guidance from the Ariba team, resolved compliance issues and streamlined its order-to-invoice process. The result was improved visibility and transparency, significantly shorter times from job completion to invoicing and payment, more regular cash receipts to support its 700 million Rand annual revenue, and plans to further automate procurement and adopt additional SAP solutions.
