How Can Buyers and Sellers Grow Their Margins While Inspiring People with Beautiful Blooms

Royal FloraHolland, a 100-year-old, member-owned floriculture cooperative with €4.6 billion in sales, needed to modernize buying and selling logistics to support member profitability and global growth. Manual, paper-based procure-to-pay processes were slowing operations, creating compliance risks, and limiting the cooperative’s ability to expand and serve customers efficiently.

Partnering with McCoy & Partners, Royal FloraHolland implemented SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing (integrated with SAP S/4HANA) to automate and consolidate commerce processes and enable mobile approvals. The solution now handles more than 125,000 transactions daily, manages about €200 million of indirect spend and ~3,000 suppliers, delivers anticipated savings of over €3 million, reduces maverick buying, and frees staff to focus on higher-value activities while improving the buyer and seller experience.
