Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, a pan‑African bank with more than 30 years of history, needed to modernize its operations to meet rising digital expectations. Ecobank deployed SAP Ariba solutions (Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Information & Performance Management, Buying & Invoicing) to automate procurement and invoicing, standardize supplier onboarding across 29 affiliates, and integrate supplier payments with its banking systems. The rollout delivered groupwide reporting, better spend control through catalogs and contract subscriptions, reduced manual intervention, improved compliance and transparency, and positioned the bank to achieve target cost savings while empowering staff.
