Driving purpose-driven spending with SAP Ariba

Insurance Australia Group (IAG) wanted to channel employee purchasing toward positive local impact by making it easy to buy from indigenous, women‑owned and social enterprises. The challenge was to create a scalable, internal way to direct discrete spend toward diverse suppliers across its operations.

IAG partnered with SAP Ariba to build an internal diversity marketplace and expand the Ariba Network supplier community in Australia. By identifying and onboarding diverse suppliers (working with intermediaries such as Mums & Co and Floral Decorator), the program made these suppliers accessible to local and regional buyers on Ariba Network, driving purpose‑driven spending and greater support for community enterprises.
