A SAP Ariba Case Study
Cox Enterprises, a $15 billion communications, media and automotive services company with over 50,000 employees and businesses such as Cox Communications, Manheim and AutoTrader, faced a fragmented procurement environment across six ERP systems. The decentralized, dated platform limited spend visibility, prevented consistent front-end approvals, and made it difficult to drive supplier and catalog adoption across the organization.
To address this, Cox implemented the cloud-based Ariba Procure-to-Pay solution integrated with its ERPs, completing the rollout in 14 weeks using out-of-the-box functionality. The new platform improved supplier collaboration via the Ariba Network, drove rapid user adoption (300+ new users within months), enabled 12 PunchOut catalogs, delivered more consistent POs and payments, and provided scalable, continuously updated functionality to increase visibility and compliance.
